Welcome to blog! I started it in 2020 to chart my recovery from breaking my ankle (hence the name). I guess no-one saw a global pandemic coming. It's turned into a place where I can talk about the things happening in my life, my horse and my cats. Enjoy!
Today I headed over to Thetford Forest to meet up with my friend Julie. We haven’t seen each other since July 2019! A lot has happened since we last caught up. And not just Covid.
It was so wonderful to catch up. And I got to meet her JRT Jeff. Oh my days, he’s adorable!
We walked and talked for over 3 hours round the forest. We definitely chose to do an extra loop. We definitely didn’t get lost…. 😉
What a glorious day it’s been. Can’t believe how warm it’s been I’ve had the conservatory doors open all day and still been warm.
Managed to get my duvet and the bedding on the line. Everything toasty dry.
Had a full on day. All good stuff though so the day has flown by. Happy Monday everyone!
This morning I woke up and felt the need to be.
So of course that meant I did the housework, spend a few hours weeding and went for a lovely hack.
It’s my kind of ‘being’ I guess.
My British Eventing socks made me laugh. First time I’ve worn them. Can you see the cats on them?
As we get closer to lockdown easing, I thought it was time to get the preparations really moving.
A little spot of arena eventing today. Buddy flew everything. Not bad seeing as he hasn’t jumped the palisade jump for probably 18 months.
Then I took him round the block in the lorry. Think he was a bit confused at such a short journey. We’re ready for the off!
After a long day on the laptop, spending time with Buddy was just what I needed. Wasn’t expecting the rain though. It was so loud on the roof. Very grateful for the indoor school.
All in all it’s been a pretty good week. I’m definitely looking forward to the weekend.
Managed to get caught in a downpour today at the yard. Buddy and I both got a tad wet during our ride.

What a lovely day it’s been. This morning I headed to Gorleston to meet a friend for a walk along the seafront. I had no idea that the beach was so pretty.
So today is a year since we started lockdown. In some ways, I can’t believe it’s been a year. In others, I can’t believe it’s only been a year.
What a year it’s been. Highs and lows. Tears and tantrums. New beginnings and sad endings. It’s definitely been a rollercoaster. One to remember and one I’ll never forget.
This time last year, I went to man the reception desk for my chiropractor to help her out. Today I did the same. Funny how life does that?! I worked for her yesterday as well.
It was lovely to have a couple of people days. And chat to people.
This sight always makes me smile. It signals that Spring is in the air. The blooms are so perfect and vibrant. They almost look painted.
This year they seem to have more white in them than in previous years. Didn’t know that could happen. Not complaining as they look stunning.
Buddy is absolutely thrilled with his new rug. Can you tell?! He was far too busy stuffing his face.
Every time I tried to get him to pose, he just went back to eating.
I think it suits him. Let’s hope he can keep this one intact.
