Awww Hugo has brought me a gift. He’s so happy carrying it around the house.

Welcome to blog! I started it in 2020 to chart my recovery from breaking my ankle (hence the name). I guess no-one saw a global pandemic coming. It's turned into a place where I can talk about the things happening in my life, my horse and my cats. Enjoy!

There were spooky goings on today as we headed off to Blickling for a Spooky (but no spooking) Halloween ride. We got a few funny looks. Can’t imagine why….?!

So I may have over ordered cat food. Well it was on special offer. Nearly gave myself a hernia bringing it. They will be well fed this winter.

For many years, when someone asked what tree I thought represented me, I’d say I was an Oak. Oaks have strong roots. They withstand anything that’s thrown at them by standing tall m. They are unmoving in the face of adversity.
But as I’ve got older, I’ve realised that I’m more of a Silver Birch. Tall, willowy and able to move with the things that are thrown at them.
I saw this one as I was walking to the yard today to see Buddy and fetch my lorry. Reminded me that we’re all different and our beliefs can change over time.

Today is Black Cats Day. I love black cats. I’ve had 9 so far. Hugo, the latest addition, decided he wanted to help me work
I’ve had a few bits of good news today. Sadly I’m carless till Monday as they can’t get the part they need. Good job I have my lorry! Guess I’ll be trucking this week.

Today has been really productive. Lots of things ticked off my list. Another successful NLP coaching session with a willing guinea pig. And my meal deliveries.
Scary moment when I was driving along, braked and there was nothing there. Got home safely and it’s being picked up tomorrow by the mechanic.
The boys have been asleep with me all day today. Now they all want cuddles. It’s a proper purrfest right now.

I’m creating a new border in my front garden. I’m going to plant lots of agapanthus bulbs to form a kinda hedge. I didn’t really consider how much earth I was going to get when I lifted the grass. A full brown bin and several bags later, I decided to leave it for today.
Took Buddy out for a long hack in the sunshine. I know I say it a lot, but it’s so beautiful round here.

Happy Sunday everyone! Here’s a bit of cuteness to brighten your day.

After a very productive morning, I took Buddy out on a rather wind assisted hack today. It was a tad blustery!
Then he had his massage with Maddy from Norfolk Equine Sports Massage. He completely zoned out. I even got a massage from Buddy at the same time. Bonus!
She took this beautiful picture of him. He’s just so handsome!

Someone was giving this away so I snapped it up. Dodo is a very happy boy right now.
