Tonight is the last night to ride outside later as the clocks change this weekend. It means winter is on the way.
Red skies were the end of a lovely day. Got to spend time practicing my NLP with a very willing guinea pig.

Welcome to blog! I started it in 2020 to chart my recovery from breaking my ankle (hence the name). I guess no-one saw a global pandemic coming. It's turned into a place where I can talk about the things happening in my life, my horse and my cats. Enjoy!

Just when you thought they couldn’t get any cuter….. 😻

I’ve had a lovely friends day. Got to speak to or spend time with quite a few of mine today. Rounded off my dinner with another. I feel blessed to have so many wonderful people in my life.

What else to do on a rainy afternoon but repair your horses rug?! The tail flap had been ripped and one of the straps had come off. It’s not the best job in the world, but it should see him through another winter.
I also fixed the guttering that had moved so I no longer have a water feature outside my kitchen window.
A rather productive day me thinks!

It’s been a really good day. 3 NLP coaching sessions (thank you to my guinea pigs), a successful meeting and a new windscreen for my little car. Not bad for a Tuesday!
Decided to try something new and had a Ruby Hot Chocolate at Costa. It was rather pink. And tasted rather fruity. Very delicious though. Made a change from coffee too.

It was haircut day for Buddy today. He’s had a bit of a love / hate relationship with the clippers. But today he was a really good boy. No silly salmon moments today. In fact he was quite chilled once she got started. Just shows that the work I’ve been doing with him is paying dividends.
He always looks super handsome when he’s freshly clipped.

Hugo is definitely a hugger

I saw this a while back and it made me giggle. Today it’s much needed. I decided not to risk jumping Buddy at the show today. His shoe is still on, but looking at the way my year has been, he’s probably do himself a mischief. I’ve seen enough vets in the past week I think.
I went for a long walk instead. I popped in and saw Buddy. He was super cuddly today and let me give him lots of kisses on his nose.
Had to go back later to give him a hot towel before he gets clipped tomorrow. I used some lavender wash so we were both feeling zen by the end of it. Let’s hope he stays like that tomorrow for his clipping.

I love walking in the rain. It’s very cleansing. Besides which no one can tell if you’re crying…. I’m not by the way.

Thought I’d have a relaxing hack today. Buddy had other ideas. He’s somehow managed to lose 3 nails out of one of this shoes.
It was loose but still on so I thought I’d take him in the school instead. He was spooking all over the place.
Then he decided to give me a flying lesson with one of his more spook-tactic whip rounds. I’m OK. I landed on my bottom so no harm done. Just another few bruises to add to the collection.
I love Spooktober.
