Welcome to blog! I started it in 2020 to chart my recovery from breaking my ankle (hence the name). I guess no-one saw a global pandemic coming. It's turned into a place where I can talk about the things happening in my life, my horse and my cats. Enjoy!
Buddy and I headed over to Thurne to meet up with a friend and her horse for a hack this morning. It’s been a while, so we had a lot to catch up. Good job we were out for 1.5 hours then.
There were so many boats on the Broads. It was lovely to see.
When I got back I decided to give Buddy’s bedroom a clear out and packed away his winter rugs. So I apologise now if we have a cold snap…
Back home after a fabulous weekend in Warwickshire. Katie and I got through so much work. I’m not sure we stopped talking the whole time too. Super excited about the new few months. I’m going to be a busy girl.
I’ll never be too busy for my little boy though. Just what I needed when I got home. Glorious sunshine, beautiful countryside and a chance to switch my brain off.
It’s not every day that you get to watch England play rugby with someone who’s played rugby for England. My amazing friend Katie has over 20 caps.
Greetings from Wales! Another long road trip today. 5 hours listening to podcasts, catching up with people and admiring the scenery. Saw 6 buzzards and red kites on my travels.
Here for a few days visiting a friend. So far we haven’t stopped talking. It’s going to be a fab few days.
I woke up feeling quite down this morning. I’m tired, drained and a bit overwhelmed. So I cut myself a bit of slack and retreated to the conservatory. I sat cuddling the kittens and watched the clouds go by. I had a good cry as well.
Things aren’t where I want them right now. I’m doing my best. It’s exhausting some days. Running your own business takes so much energy. Supporting my parents took a lot out of me too. I’m spinning so many plates right now, it’s understandable I’m feeling a bit spent.
So today I rested. The powers that be decided that I shouldn’t be alone as a good friend rang the doorbell. And she brought me a taste of Scotland. Just what I needed.
I’m learning that resting doesn’t mean I’m lazy. It means I’m getting my energy back so I can go again.
I got late birthday present today. It was a bit spooky. I had a voicemail from a friend while I was away at camp. I tried calling her back this morning and with that she walked round the corner. Coffee in one hand and this fab present in the other.
It was great to catch up with her. And I’m looking forward to filling this in. 👏🏻 Love a bit of motivation.
First dinner out. Or should that be in. Lovely catch up with a friend at Oakland’s. Finally able to try one of their pizzas (can highly recommend) and not have to eat in my coat. 😝

Another lovely lunch out today. This time at the Oaklands Hotel, Norwich. Their terrace is perfect for alfresco dining. The sun even made an appearance. Not quite ready to ditch my duvet coat just yet though.
This toilet roll holder made me smile. Sometimes it the simple pleasures in life. Good food, good company and a sheep on the wall.
