Pumped

Before and after the Monday Morning HIIT session with Michelle at Adrenalize. Definitely got my heart rate up. I managed to do most of the higher intensity ones and my ankle is good. I love skater and punching. I hate burpees, they hurt my ankle so did a bit one sided. Managed to punt Tom across the floor in the kicking section. Memo to me: lock cats out as doing sit ups with a cat on your stomach is hard!!

Seedlings

It’s been a bit of a random day to various reasons. Not least the weather which has decided to do four seasons in one day! Haven’t been out for my walk as fear I will be blown away, get hyperthermia in the snow or injured by giant hailstones. This did make me happy though. My first seedlings. I shall at least have lettuces to eat.

Make a wish

When I was on my walk today it reminded me of when I used to hack Murphy around the area. Before I moved to my little house, I’d look over used at these houses as we crossed this railway bridge and think how wonderful it would be to live there. Little did I know that I would end up buying a house there…..

A tad breezy

Today’s walk. It was a tad blustery. Went on a new route out of the end of the close. Found a beautiful church and cows! I can hear them from my garden if the wind is in the right direction. It’s a lovely reassuring sound.

What have you done with your hour of exercise?

Hugs are good

I miss hugging people. In fact I miss people. Thank god for technology to keep me connected. I really would be going stir crazy without it. I think that’s why I’m missing going to the yard and work so much. It’s not just Buddy I’m missing, it’s spending time with people.

Social distancing and isolation are the right things to do at the moment but the minute I’m allowed to hug again – watch out people!!

Escapee

After 4 days of house arrest, I couldn’t take it any longer. I needed to get out of my house and garden. So I went for a walk and didn’t see a soul! It was very odd. Just a few cars, a couple of tractors and a bus. Everyone waved hello. The community spirit is definitely returning.

Where there’s a will…

I found this rather long snowdrop hidden in the overgrown bush. Even though there was no room or light, it didn’t die. It just grew taller. Made me thing of where we are right now. We need to adapt to our new circumstances and that’ll become our new ‘normal’ whatever that is.

My garden

My second happiest place is in my garden. I haven’t been out there much this year so today I spent 5 hours cutting back the overgrown hedges and bushes. Full brown bin stopped play, but I’m pretty impressed with how much tidier it looks.
