Happy International Women’s Day to all my fellow warriors.

Welcome to blog! I started it in 2020 to chart my recovery from breaking my ankle (hence the name). I guess no-one saw a global pandemic coming. It's turned into a place where I can talk about the things happening in my life, my horse and my cats. Enjoy!
Happy International Women’s Day to all my fellow warriors.

When you can’t jump your horse, so you decide to free jump him instead. Someone was definitely enjoying himself. 😍 Can’t wait you get back to riding. The countdown is on!
I woke up this morning utterly fed up of hacking up a lung and having no voice so I went to see Colette at East Norwich Acupuncture for some needles and cupping. Cupping feels rather odd, but definitely seemed to work. I had so much more energy afterwards and I seem to be coughing less. Hurrah!!

It was cold today. I think the boys have the right idea. All snuggled up in double decker fashion. The fire was lit, the heating was on, yet they spent the whole day hidden away in the conservatory.
I snuggled on the sofa with my blanket instead and watched Lost Boys. It used to be one of my favourites, but now it looks so dated. The special effects were awful. Still Jason Patric and Kiefer Sutherland are easy on the eye.

Just back from seeing my chiropractor for the first time this year!! Boy did she find lots to adjust. Hardly a surprise after a fall, many weeks of not doing much and being on one leg of a lot of it. I’m feeling a bit spacey at the moment. But it’s all part of the process. I got vegetable seeds at my chiro too. Looking forward to getting out in the potting shed and cracking on with this years ‘exploits in the greenhouse’.
It’s frustrating cause I want to crack on, but my body is lagging behind at bit. I’m at the ‘sexy’ stage of my cold where I sound like I could start my own sexline, until I have a coughing fit and sound like I’m bringing up a lung…

After slightly overdoing it yesterday, I had a more restful day today. My ankle reminded me that it is still early days of driving and walking in matching shoes. So had to listen. Thankfully the sunshine made sitting in the conservatory fairly blissful.
Did pop to Dunelm Mill to get a roller blind for my lorry and saw this. Had to be done! I love rubber ducks. I have quite a collection in my bathroom. I appreciate there’s an irony in that I don’t have a bath.

This is me on my first horse Granby Micawber or Mac. He had attitude, was terrified of flowers and his go to move was ‘rear, spin and run’. He taught me a lot though. I don’t have many photos of him so when my niece posted this one today, it made me smile. I ride a lot shorter nowadays too. The smile hasn’t changed much – still beaming when I’m on a horse. The countdown is underway till I can get back in the saddle.

Had a very productive few hours of spring cleaning at the yard. I do love a good spring clean! As you can tell, I’m really starting to feel like me again. 😊Even if I don’t sound like me (yes, I’m still voiceless).

My big days got even better. Drove myself to the yard this afternoon as well. Free schooled Buddy. I can’t tell you how much I’ve missed this. And yes, I was really, really careful!

Big day today in my recovery. For the first time since 2 January, I’ve been able to wear matching shoes! It felt a little strange but I soon got used to it. I also tried driving today. Just to the local shop and back, but that’s another milestone for me!
