Nurse Nero

Today Nurse Nero took over caring duties. He’s barely left my side. Not that I’ve gone very far. I did manage to leave the house and ventured into the garden. Made it as far as the conservatory steps before I ran out of energy.

I hate feeling so low on energy. Very unusual compared to my normal tiggeresque. Hoping I sleep better tonight.

Still I know it will pass and I will be back. Good news is my Covid test has arrived. Bad news it was after the last post so I’ll have to do it tomorrow. Fingers crossed it’s negative!

I am very ill

I said when I started this blog that I would be as honest as I could be. Well buckle up!

I feel utterly dreadful. After sleeping for about 20 hours yesterday, last night I tossed and turned. I couldn’t breath as my nose is blocked. And running at the same time. I had to deploy the ‘nose tampon’. I’m having to breath through my mouth, which isn’t helping my sore throat. Neither is the fact my body decided that a mass evacuations of both ends was in order!

I ache all over. My glands are up in my neck so that even stiffer. Whatever this is, it’s is utterly vile. So I’m admitting defeat and cancelling the lovely things I had in my diary for this week. Including a relaxing treatment, a birthday outing and our first ODE. Dissappointing but there will be another time.

Oh and to top it off, one of the cats has been sick in the conservatory.

All I want is a big hug and someone to tell me it’s going to be OK. Really not helpful at the best of times.

Thankfully I’m rarely ill, but when I am it’s usually pretty spectactular!!

Unclean

It’s at times like this when I wish I didn’t live alone. It does being ill feel harder sonehiw. I’m so grateful for the friends I have though.

One who took a detour on her bike ride to drop off a much needed Red Cross parcel. It’s true what they say, Chicken soup is good for the soul.

Sadly it wasn’t a miracle cure as I’m still full of snot, thick head and a sore throat.

Nurse Dodo has been on duty most of the day. He’s barely left my side (though he’s now refusing to come in and I haven’t got the energy to chase him round the garden).

Bedtime for me…. All healing vibes gratefully received.

Poorly, sick and bad

This morning I woke up with a very sore throat. And felt rather poop. But managed to go XC. That was my main objective for camp.

Really happy to say that Buddy and I haven’t forgotten how to do it. First time this year! He was a machine. And flew everything.

I lost energy about 3/4 of the way round. So-called it quits and came home early. Went straight to bed and have just woken up.

Hopefully a few days and I’ll be feeling better.

Lorry life

I’m so glad I brought an extra duvet with me this weekend. It’s freezing out there. Sadly the afternoon lessons had to be cancelled as the rain and wind were too much.

I snuggled up in my lorry and fell asleep! Can’t remember the last time I had an afternoon nap (without being ill). Obviously needed it.

Hoping the lorry isn’t rocking too much tonight. 🌬

Stormy skies

The weather this week has been rather random. It definitely feels like autumn is on the way. It’s been a bit of a random week too in many ways. Nothing bad though. In fact there have been some really lovely moment. An evening hack was one of them. Coffee with a good friend this morning another.

We’re off to Great Witchingham tomorrow for a weekend of training. The lorry is packed and we’re ready for the off. First time there this year. Eek!
