Vaccination hangover

I had boundless energy last night and like I could dance for hours. Today I woke up feeling like I had! The only way to describe it was a hangover. I felt woozy, wobbly and with no energy. All very odd. In fact I still feel a bit odd. Sure it’ll go soon enough. And trust me, it’s nothing like having a Covid.

Had a duvet day and took it really easy. Went to do my meal deliveries though. One of the chaps I deliver to gave me an Easter present. So sweet. Makes me realise how much they appreciate the delivery. They all said that they weren’t sure if they’d see me today. But we’re all very pleased they did.

Covid jab

I know some people have felt ill after it, but I’m feeling full of energy after it. Very odd indeed.

Good job too as I spent the rest of the day cleaning out the shed, the greenhouse and starting off my seeds for this year.

Treated myself to a Chinese takeaway too. Happy Easter everyone!

Arena Eventing

Another day, another horsey outing. This time to Oxnead for a spot of Arena Eventing. It was a clinic run in aid of East Anglian Air Ambulance.

I couldn’t fault Buddy today. He felt amazing. Jumped everything, even off some of my directionally challenged lines. It was such fun!

Definitely feeling that we’re ready for competitions again. Bring it on…

XC at last

Oh my days, it was good to be back at Blackwater and XC schooling. It’s been 6 months since our last trip there.

There have been a few changes. The addition of a new practise jump was not to Buddy’s liking. Resulting in my sharp exit stage right. Slightly winded, I got back onboard and we got over it eventually. What is it about me and practice fences?!

After that he was such a good boy. We were both a bit rusty and it showed. Still there were lots of positives to take away from today.

Retro treats

I think I’ve earnt these today. After walking for 3 hours yesterday, I rode for 2 hours today. Burnt one or two calories I’m guessing.

Buddy and I popped our High Ash cherries today. Can’t believe it’s taken me so long to get there. Definitely worth the wait though.

The sun shone and so did Buddy. He took everything in his stride. Including his first encounter with pigs! He wasn’t bothered at all.

We were so busy chatting that I completely forgot to take a photo. Buddy loved it too. Especially the gallops.

Jeff!

Today I headed over to Thetford Forest to meet up with my friend Julie. We haven’t seen each other since July 2019! A lot has happened since we last caught up. And not just Covid.

It was so wonderful to catch up. And I got to meet her JRT Jeff. Oh my days, he’s adorable!

We walked and talked for over 3 hours round the forest. We definitely chose to do an extra loop. We definitely didn’t get lost…. 😉
