Wedding guest

They say that it’s lucky to bring a horseshoe for the bride. Well tonight, I brought four! They were of course still attached to Buddy. My friend Kirsty was having her wedding celebration party at the community hall near the yard. I know how much she loves Buddy, so I walked up to bring him down to see her.

He was such a good boy. Posing for the guests. A few more members of the Buddy fan club I’d say. In fact her brother-in-law said he’d been to many weddings, but had never seen someone turn up with a horse!

Kirsty said it was the cherry on top. I’m so happy that I could do that for her. May you and David have a long and happy marriage.

Cloister

I went to a wedding today. It was held in Norwich Castle. I love a castle. And Norwich Castle is pretty special. So that was rather cool. Ironically it was like the bowls of Vesuvius inside.

But the venue for the reception topped it though! It was held at The Great Hospital on Bishopsgate.

I had no idea it was there. My gosh it’s stunning. They have the smallest cloister in England. It seems I love a cloister. It was like something from Harry Potter.

Originally built in 13th century for retired clergy and church staff, it’s now sheltered housing. Still run by a charity, it’s got great event spaces. The food was lush. The staff on point. The downside to being in Events is that you can see things others don’t. This was wonderful.

I took so many photos of the grounds and buildings. Just stunning.

Memento

A few weeks ago one of gentlemen on my meal delivery route mentioned that he’d run out of books to read. So I took him a bag of books that I had in the garage. Tonight he handed me this. He’d found it in one of the books.

This was for the flight when I got married. For a long time afterwards, I couldn’t think about my wedding without being sad. It was the last time I saw my brother before his death.

NLP coaching really helped me to look back at the events in a different way. I’m grateful I found it. And very grateful I get to help others using it too.

Even though I’m no longer married, I smiled tonight when I saw this boarding pass. It brought back happy memories. All part of my life story.
