Horse stuff

What is it with cats and horse stuff?! Hugo has decided all of Buddy’s stinky stuff is his favourite new sleep place. He spent most of the day there!

He was most disgruntled when I moved him to start washing it. Till he saw the pile of clean stuff and curled up on that instead.

The camp clean up is getting there. As is the inbox wrangling I did today. All 5 of them! The joys of multiple clients.

I also got some surprise visitors when Martine and her sister popped round with some flowers to say thank you for everything I did for the fundraising and show. The mark of her as a person that even though she’s poorly, she still goes out of her way to recognise people. What a woman!

Flutterby

I had a visitor today while I was working. This little butterfly flew in and landed on the carpet next to me. After I took the photo, it flew up and landed on my trousers. So I walked out into the garden so it could fly off. And managed to keep Dodo (aka butterfly killer) away.

As a kid, we used to call them flutterbys. I guess it’s an apt name for them. As they literally flutter by. Can’t say I get the connection to butter. Anyone know?!

Visitor

Today my friend Ruth came to stay. I haven’t seen her for a good few years. But it’s been like no time had passed. We went for a long walk this evening, it was wonderful to walk and talk.

She drew this picture for my 50th. It always makes me smile. In fact I have two of her drawing in my house. Now I have the artist in person. She’s so talented.
