Welcome to blog! I started it in 2020 to chart my recovery from breaking my ankle (hence the name). I guess no-one saw a global pandemic coming. It's turned into a place where I can talk about the things happening in my life, my horse and my cats. Enjoy!
It’s been a very long time since I went ten pin bowling. And it showed! It was very hit and miss.
I did get one strike and a couple of spares. I also got a number of gutters. But a fun evening nonetheless.
Bit of a surprise one too. I got a message this morning asking if I wanted to come along. Why not I thought! Sometimes you just have to say yes to things. If it’s ten pin bowling, I’m going to need a lot more practice!!
I did my best ‘Cilla’ impression this evening. I headed over to Forest Edge to surprise and catch up with the campers. It ‘Big Camp’. And the first one I’ve missed since I started going in 2016.
Tuesday morning I woke up feeling really sad that I wasn’t going to be there with Buddy and catch up with everyone.
I’d asked if I could be helper for a day instead. As I was coming tomorrow to help, I thought I’d have a night in the Buddymobile too! I know how to live huh?!
Today has been a long day. 260 mile round trip to West Sussex. I’m off to a conference next week and needed to handover some stuff as I’m not doing the set up.
It meant meeting in the services at Pease Pottage. What a cracking name for a village! I kinda felt like a spy. Only less secretive…
As it’s not far from my parents, I did a surprise flying visit to see them. They were very shocked to see me. But my surprise was a welcome one.
Since I’ve had the kittens, they’ve been fighting over who gets to sit on my lap when I’m on the laptop. I get both of them on there some days.
Today I got a lovely surprise when Nero jumped up.
He’s a little bit bigger than they are, so it was a squeeze. He made it work and was purring away. He has his good days and bad days too. Today he was on good form and for that I’m very grateful.
