Dog-tired

Oh dear, I think we broke Bert. Puppy College was very tiring. It was his first session and Bert loved it though. When we got home, he crashed on the sofa.

He did rally enough to come and help me clear up the aftermath of the new fences. But soon crashed again during the rugby. And is snoring now. He’s clearly dog-tired.

A little cold

Well it seems that I have brought an extra gift back from camp. I am with snot. Last night, I felt the start of a cold coming on. You know the kind where your head starts pounding and you feel like you’ve been punched repeatedly in the sinuses.

This morning, I felt decidedly crappy. So admitted defeat, stayed in bed and got more sleep. The kittens approved the duvet on the sofa look. They are both snoring. I fear I will be tonight too. I’ve been told I have a cute snore. Tonight I think I might be more warthog than woodland creature.

Snoring symphony

This is one of my doggie charges, Flip. She’s snoring in my arms. The other doggie charge, Bailey, is snoring in the corner. I’m being treated to quite the snoring symphony! It always amazes me how much dogs actually sleep.

I’d say they’ve been supportive team mates as I worked this afternoon, but they’ve been sleeping on the job. It’s just like being at home. Except louder.

Funny how an animal snoring is cute whereas a person snoring is murder inducing. Though I have been told I have a cute snore, so make of that what you will.

Appreciation

Today is Black Cat Appreciation Day apparently. Well my little black cat definitely appreciated my lap this afternoon. I sat down to have a late lunch and he jumped straight onto my lap. He was soon snoring. I felt really bad moving him but I needed to hit the shower and get on.

Distractions

Today I have had a few distractions. It’s butterfly saving season…!

I rescued 5 from Dodo and 3 from the conservatory.

It was all too much for Hugo. He spent most of the day asleep in the food box. Once again he was snoring his head off. Slightly distracting on calls. It’s so cute, I can’t help smiling.
