Diamond wishes

I bought this patio rose about a month ago. It’s exploded with blooms overnight. It smells divine too. I sat on the patio for my breakfast and lunch sniffing it.

It’s called ‘Diamond Wishes’. It had to be done for My Absolute Diamond, Buddy. Not sure pink is his colour though. Thankfully he probably won’t see it.

Buddy has made many of my wishes come true. My current wish is for him to continue to recover from his injury so we can get back to the things we love doing.

I think it’s very pretty indeed. I do love a rose. Well I am an English one.

Slow down

We’re definitely heading towards Autumn, the slow cooker has made an appearance.

I’ve discovered that I have to put it on on a day that I’m not going to be in the house. Otherwise the smell is too enticing. But it’s really good to come home to.

There’ll be a few portions in the freezer tomorrow. I may be culinarily challenged, but this counts as proper cooking in my book.

And no injuries. Hurrah!

Air freshener

This is the sign of an equestrian for sure. Most of us have carried some form of feed or bedding in our cars. Made me laugh as I was driving along.

This one had an added bonus of smelling really nice. Definitely an improvement on the usual horsey / musty smell of The Comedy Car. Hoping this smell will last a few days. Who needs an air freshener?!

Saddlery smell

I had an hour to kill today, so what better way to spend it than in a saddlery. There’s a wonderful smell about a saddlery. It’s the smell of leather, horse feed, lotions and potions. It’s hard to sum it up. But it’s one that’s very comforting.

I saw this card and it made me giggle. When you think about it, we are a little bonkers. We put our trust (and lives) in the hooves of an animal who’s terrified of a carrier bag (amongst other things). But it’s so worth it!
