Mini meadow

The owners of a house near me has planted their verge with meadow flowers. It looks so stunning. It looks like a mini meadow. I’ve driven past it many times, but today was the first time I walked past it.

It was smothered in bees. You could hear them buzzing in the sunshine.

They are going over, but it’s so effective. And really different. It makes me smile every time I go past. Isn’t it amazibg how something so simple can bring so much joy. I wish more people would embrace this look. I think I’m going to try it too.

Grateful

Today’s been a bit of an odd day. I’ve been really productive, but haven’t necessarily achieved anything.

I took time to sit in the conservatory listening to the birds sing and drinking my coffee. There’s so much to be grateful for in my life. It’s really easy to focus on all the things that aren’t where they could be or need to be sorted. There are a million and one of those!

There are also a million and one things to be enjoyed, appreciated and loved. They say it’s the simple things in life. Well today that was very true. Strong coffee, a bit of sunshine and a choir of songbirds.

Foot hug

Last year, my slippers finally died. I was gutted as they were so comfy. I’ve been wearing winter slipper boots since then, but knew I needed to get some new one. Slightly challenging in Covid land as you can’t try thing on.

Today I found these wonders. Not only do they look funky. They are super comfy. My feet are being hugged right now!

It really is the simple things in life…
