Lorry Dog

Bert is now officially a ‘Lorry Dog in Training’. I had to take the Buddymobile over to the workshop for some work. So thought I’d take Bert along for the ride. He was such a good boy. He curled up and slept for most of the journey. Big Gold Star right there!!

On the way back, I realised that I’d left his lead in the lorry. Doh! It was the one that came with the cat harness I bought for the kittens (and caused Hugo to flop like a rag doll). It was annoying me anyway as the clip was really fiddly. Not what you need with a wriggly puppy!

As we were coming back through Wroxham, I remembered there’s a dog shop there. So lovely new lead purchased. While there I asked about harnesses etc. The lovely lady in the shop said if I bring Bert back when he’s had his vaccinations, she offers a fitting service.

I can already see it will become a cool place to go. So lovely that there are so many dog-friendly places about.

Gift ideas

Today hasn’t been my best. I had a mini-meltdown in B&M of all places. Who knew that was THE place to go on a Sunday morning?! It was packed. Thought I’d get most of the last minute things I needed for Conference in there. I was wrong, So ended up in Morrisons and Card Factory too. That took much longer than I’d planned so put me behind.

This did made me smile though. Not sure if it’s inspired or sad. I mean, I love crisps. But not sure I want a box as a Christmas present. Of course, if anyone does want to buy me one, I won’t say no…

GSOH

It’s been a rather random day. I spend 1.5 hours going nowhere on A47. There was an accident so I had to reschedule my meeting.

Sounds like a bad one. They closed both carriageways. So as soon as I could get off, I headed back home.

Given my plans had changed, I thought I’d take the old lino from the Buddymobile to a flooring shop to see if they had an offcut that would work. Thought I’d picked up both bits. Turns out I’d only picked up one. Didn’t matter as when I arrived, the shop was shut.

As I was getting back in the car, having wrestled the lino in the wind down the road and into the car, said wind caught my car door and closing it on my foot. Good job I was wearing my sturdy yard boots.

Good job I can laugh at my own ineptitude too. I’m blaming the eclipse.
