Lorry Dog

Bert is now officially a ‘Lorry Dog in Training’. I had to take the Buddymobile over to the workshop for some work. So thought I’d take Bert along for the ride. He was such a good boy. He curled up and slept for most of the journey. Big Gold Star right there!!

On the way back, I realised that I’d left his lead in the lorry. Doh! It was the one that came with the cat harness I bought for the kittens (and caused Hugo to flop like a rag doll). It was annoying me anyway as the clip was really fiddly. Not what you need with a wriggly puppy!

As we were coming back through Wroxham, I remembered there’s a dog shop there. So lovely new lead purchased. While there I asked about harnesses etc. The lovely lady in the shop said if I bring Bert back when he’s had his vaccinations, she offers a fitting service.

I can already see it will become a cool place to go. So lovely that there are so many dog-friendly places about.

SOS

Yesterday I got an SOS. So today I went to the Lincoln Showground and back. As you do. Or rather as I do.

One of my friends was competing at the BRC Championships today and needed company / support. We all know I love a horsey roadtrip. Even better when I’m fed, caffeinated and get two lorry dogs to cuddle.

It also meant I got to surprise the other Carleton RC competitors. I have very fond memories of competing at the Champs in 2022. It wasn’t our crowning glory. But we did it. I have some lovely photos and a rosette. I was rather jealous of the stable plaques. They didn’t have those my year, but I did get a medal.

We will be back one day I’m sure. For now, I was happy to be groom / cheerleader / emotional support Pip.

Sea view

Greetings from Wales! Another long road trip today. 5 hours listening to podcasts, catching up with people and admiring the scenery. Saw 6 buzzards and red kites on my travels.

Here for a few days visiting a friend. So far we haven’t stopped talking. It’s going to be a fab few days.

Road trip 2

Mum went for a spin in her mobility scooter today. It must be over 2.5 years since she last ventured out in it. She was nervous and didn’t go far, but she did it.

Hopefully it means she will be able to get out a bit more.

Road trip

I drove to my parents this evening. I had a good run through. A clear M25 is always a bonus let’s face it!!

I used to listen to music, but I’ve recently started listening to podcasts. I was listening to a couple by Dean Grazoisi on my way here. He’s a very interesting man. There were lots of snippets that really resonated with me.
