Welcome to blog! I started it in 2020 to chart my recovery from breaking my ankle (hence the name). I guess no-one saw a global pandemic coming. It's turned into a place where I can talk about the things happening in my life, my horse and my cats. Enjoy!
I am so saddened to hear of the passing of our Queen. She embodied everything that was good about our country.
She had an unenviable role. Which she did with grace, dignity and charm. And for 70 years.
Whatever you think of the monarchy, you have to admire the way she reigned.
It’s a sad day indeed. 😢 The Queen is dead, Long live the King.

Today we celebrated the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. 70 years on the throne (or in the same job). An amazing achievement.
Let’s face it, we Brits like a bit of pomp and ceremony. And bunting. We really like bunting. It’s been lovely to see so many people celebrating. I’m sure there will be some sore heads tomorrow.
The monarchy is part of our culture, our identity and our Britishness.
Thank you your Majesty. Long live the Queen.
After my lorry fare earlier in the week, today I had royal fare! I had lunch with the Queen! Well a cardboard cutout of her, but it counts, right?!
