Ice feathers

I’m loving these ice feathers on my boot room window this afternoon. Isn’t nature amazing!?!

I’m sure one of my clever friends will be able to tell me why this happens. There’s something magical about it.

Wearing a billion layers to leave the house isn’t quite as magical. This cold snap has definitely got teeth right now.

Morning stroll

I woke up and felt the need to get out and walk this morning. It was such a beautiful day. I definitely hit my steps today as I ended up being out for 2 hours.

Nature lifts my spirits. I’m so grateful to live in such a beautiful place.

Covid Land

This picture sums up the past 18 months in Covid Land for me. It’s given me time to rekindle my love of walking. And my appreciation for the beauty around me.

So much has changed in my life in that time. I’m going through a huge transformation. I’m growing as a person. I’m learning more about myself every day.

It can be exhausting some days. Other days I have boundless energy.

It’s made me stop, reflect and really understand what I want my life to look like. For that I’m grateful.

Beautifying

After being away last weekend and a busy week, I needed some Buddy time. Took him out for a long hack this afternoon. Being out in nature with my boy feeds my soul more than anything else. I know I’ve said it before, but I really do live in a beautiful part of the world.

I did my best to make my tiny bit of the world beautiful too. I spent most of the day in the garden. I mowed both lawns. They’d both gone a bit bonkers with all the rain. It was tough going, but always looks so much better when it’s done.

Birds & bees

Once again the bees have taken up residence in the old bird box in my garden. It’s a veritable hive of activity with all the comings and goings. Fascinating to watch how they all move around each other so perfectly.

This winter the blue tits used the box. So it really is the birds and the bees.
