Be there

Today seems to have been sponsored by the letter B.

I headed to Black Barns for brunch with a friend. Bumped into another friend there who I was only thinking about the other day. Spooky.

Then I headed off to muck out Buddy and Belle. Before driving the Buddymobile to Blickling to meet up with a friend and her gorgeous horse. We had a blast. As we were almost back to the car park, we bumped into yet another friend walking her dogs. What a bonus!

She waited while I untacked Buddy and got Bert. We joined her for a lovely walk round the estate. He had so much fun running around with her three dogs. Bert then crashed out in the Buddymobile on the way home. In fact, he’s still snoring now.

I love days like today when you get bonuses. Sometimes you just have to be there…

Reuse

I spotted this sign while walking my charges today. It was clearly a marker of some sort. Whether it was a road marker or something else, I don’t know. I love the way it’s been reused in the modern house. They’ve used glass bottles too.

A little bit of history hidden in plain sight. Wonder how old it is. Must be fairly old as it’s Yarmouth rather than Great Yarmouth. Or maybe they charged by the letter…

Horse and Hound

After my stint commentating at the Area Festival, a friend suggested I take my post and send it to Horse and Hound letters editor. So I did. And they’ve published it!

I’ve always wanted to be in Horse and Hound. So I guess I can tick that equestrian goal. Next time, I hope it’s on a horse rather than writing about horses. But who knows. It’s still an achievement.

Pareidolia

I had to post a letter on my way to the yard, so stopped at the postbox behind my house. I spotted this box next to it and it made me giggle. It’s been scratched and looks like a little sad face.

It’s funny how we see faces in objects. It’s called ‘pareidolia’. Cool huh?!
