A little cold

Well it seems that I have brought an extra gift back from camp. I am with snot. Last night, I felt the start of a cold coming on. You know the kind where your head starts pounding and you feel like you’ve been punched repeatedly in the sinuses.

This morning, I felt decidedly crappy. So admitted defeat, stayed in bed and got more sleep. The kittens approved the duvet on the sofa look. They are both snoring. I fear I will be tonight too. I’ve been told I have a cute snore. Tonight I think I might be more warthog than woodland creature.

Miles and miles

Well I’m back home after another mammoth weekend. Not sure how many miles I’ve done. Quite honestly, I’m too tired to work it out. Thankfully the M25 was very kind to me today as I headed home.

It was smooth sailing all the way back. Unlike my hair, which looked like I’d been dragged through a hedge. I was back to windows open and being buffeted after the joys of AC yesterday.

Still the kittens were pleased to see me. As you can see they were very keen to leave their sunbathing to say hello!

Staying the extra night meant I got to see Mum again before I left. She’s not doing great so grateful to have been able to see her.

Roar

The kittens have made a nest in the border. It’s a great way for them to keep cool in the heat we’ve had. She says as it’s chucking it down. That’ll be my fault. I put the shade sail up. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Hugo makes me giggle. He’s found his voice in recent weeks. He’s proper chatty now. Think he’s going through the awkward teenage stage as it’s a little squeaky. Hard to take him seriously…

Saddle love

Looks like Hugo has decided to embrace side saddle today. He really does love sleeping on my dressage saddle. Made me giggle when I saw him perched on it.

Today is also 3 years since I bought my Fairfax jump saddle. I may have had a mild panic at the cost, but there hasn’t been a ride in it when I regret it. It’s still the most comfortable saddle I’ve ever ridden in.
