I love this Irish blessing. And I wish you all the luck of the Irish. I certainly lucked out when I found my Irish boy 4 years ago.
I’m not spending St Patrick’s Day with him, but I’m sure he’s celebrating in his stable without me… 🐴😉

The weather was changeable again today so we headed indoors for a fun jumping session. We were practising our turns and jumping on the angle
Definitely put a smile on my face.

Even if I do say so myself, Buddy looks rather fetching in his new rug.
Not sure he was that impressed with being asked to do a fashion show after we’d ridden. He was much more keen on having his dinner. He obviously wasting away as you can see.

On Monday, Buddy was found at breakfast attached to his stall chain. Not a clue how long he’d been like that. Or how he managed to get his rug clip through the chain link. He’d obviously tried to release himself resulting in a rather ripped rug. Very grateful it wasn’t a ripped Buddy.
Got to the yard today to find another one of his rugs ripped.
He’s super talented my boy! To be fair today’s ripped rug was an old one and was falling apart somewhat.
A replacement rug arrived today. It’s Teflon coated so let’s see how long it lasts.
We’re available for rug sponsorship…. 😉

After spending this morning on my laptop, I thought I’d try a different exercise with Buddy. This square is an exercise that we did with Caroline Moore. I’m pleased to say we’ve massively improved on that particular car crash!
It may look easy but it really got Buddy focused and I had to plan ahead.
Then back to my laptop for a networking meeting this evening. I’m a bit zoomed out now.

Today I gave the Buddymobile a good spring clean. The living is sparkling, the lockers are all tidy and everything is back where it lives.
As the lorry was out, thought I’d take the chance to load Buddy. It’s been a few months since we’ve been anywhere so always good to keep our hand in. He was fairly chilled and loaded several times.
Just need somewhere to go…

I’ve spent most of the day outdoors. And loved it.
Started with breakfast on the patio with the boys. It was a beautiful way to start the day.
Then mowed and scarified the back lawn. It desperately needed it. I may have overdone the scarifying as I have a couple of bald spots. Whoops!
Then finished with a long hack in the afternoon sunshine. We weren’t alone as everyone seemed to have the same idea. Saw lots of cyclists, walkers and tractors out and about.

Day 146: enjoy the view. What a beautiful day it’s been. It’s been positively balmy. I got 3 loads of washing on the line. The first bloom on my camellia is starting to open. And I took Buddy out for a long hack.
It was rather windy, but it was one of those days where I just wanted to keep going.

I feel the need, the need for speed! First spin up the gallop strip today. And boy did we both need it! Buddy felt absolutely amazing. It’s such a great feeling letting him run.
Can’t believe how warm it was today! What a difference a week makes. Last week I didn’t have enough layers. This week I had too many!
