Hay hay

Here we have Buddy sporting this Summer’s look – hay and more hay! It’s not just a good look, it’s snacks for later.

Being the oversized Labrador that he is, Buddy definitely loves his food. It’s the best way to keep him occupied too. And boy did he need it today. First he had new shoes. Then Auntie Jess came to give him the once over and some laser treatment to help his recovery.

Poor boy was starved by the time the laser came out. He was practically wasting away. Lucky for him, it was best to distract him. So he was a very happy boy to get his hay.

Having a food-oriented horse comes in handy sometimes…

Hay there

This made me giggle when I got to the yard today. Not a clue how Buddy managed to get so much hay in the manger. Now I appreciate that hay is usually put in a manger, but his hay is always on the other side of his stable.

Surprisingly, the rest of his stable was pretty good. Considering he’s a bit of a mucky pup normally. Looks like he put his efforts into spreading his hay instead.

Canapés

Took Buddy for a wander to cool him off after his lunge session. He was very happy to have some snacks on the way. But then I did interrupt his dinner so it was fair. Then I got chatting and forgot to put his dinner back in. Buddy showed his distain by putting most of hay on the yard instead.

He really does make me giggle.

Pony cuddles

After a long day working, I popped to see Buddy for a quick cuddle. Even though he was more interested in his hay, he gave me a good sniff and lots of nuzzles.

He loves to groom my hair. So I brushed his mane in return. It’s such a special moment.
