Serendipity

I love it when someone comes into my life in a wonderfully unusual way. I met Catie today for a coffee.

We ‘met’ last year when she bought some poppy seeds from me. We’ve been talking ever since. We’ve a lot in common and not just plants.

She now lives in Scotland but was back to see her Mum. We talked for over 3 hours and could have kept talking all day. Till next time…

Friends

I was sent this today. It made me cry in a good way. I’m so very lucky to have so many wonderful people in my life.

If I’ve learnt anything in Covidland, it’s how much I need good people around me. To support me. To love me. To lift me up. To cheer me on. To listen to me. To make me laugh. To let me cry. To remind me how amazing I truly am.

And I will always return the favour.

Thank you everyone who’s in my corner. You are amazing.

One soaking is enough

Back home after a lovely weekend away with my friends Simon and Harry.
Buddy and I managed to stay dry this afternoon. The same couldn’t be said for Simon and I this morning. We got drenched out on our walk.

Glad I took a change of clothes with me, that’s all I saying. ☔️

Walled garden

Popped over to Little Plumstead for lunch with a friend. We walked up the Walled Garden Community Cafe. What a brilliant way to use this space.

The planting was beautiful. It was great to catch up and put the world to rights (over a sausage roll of course).

And rest

I’m so glad I booked a massage for this morning. It was much needed after camp. Buddy is getting a few days off too.

I chilled today. Well in my manner. Caught up with some friends and did 3 loads of washing. It was good to get it on the line. Still got another two to go. But ran out of line space. 🤪

Hugo has discovered the joys of the sun lounger. He sat with me while I read in the shade. Boy it was hot today!

Camp life again

What a wonderful way to start our latest camp. A hack round the forest with Maria and Sky followed by lunch and puppy cuddles.

Camp officially started this afternoon. I’m stuffed after the welcome BBQ. First lessons tomorrow. Excited to be back.

Wise woman

Finally I was able to get over to Anna’s to hack out with her and Alfie. It’s been months. In fact the last time we hacked together was Halloween!

It was wonderful to catch up. We didn’t stop talking the whole way round. There was a lot to catch up on.

And I got to have cuddles with her new puppy! Talk about cherry on top.
