Stand out from the crowd

I woke up feeling rather crumpled and a bit sad. It was ‘Dragon’ weather (where you can see your breath), a sure sign the seasons are changing.

After catching up on some paperwork, I sat and reflected on a few things. I’d had some feedback from someone I’ve been working with that also made me think.

I realised that I was started to get too much in my own head (overthinker, right here?!). So headed to yard and took Buddy out for a long ride. As we were walking along, I spotted this beautiful part of the hedgerow. Talk about standing out from the crowd!!

They say feedback is a gift. But you don’t always have to accept it. I’m not perfect. I know where I can improve. But this bush shows that we can all be ourselves and it really is the sum of the parts. Or am I overthinking again…?!

Balloon arch

I’m slightly in love with the balloon arch we had at the event tonight. It’s been a very long day. But a very successful one. The feedback has been great. And my client is very happy.

I’ve been on my feet so long, they have their own pulse. I‘m now officially off duty and can have a drink. I will sleep very well tonight.

I consider myself very lucky to have created a business where I get to do so many things I love. And people pay me to do it!

And I have some wonderful clients who trust me to do a good job.

Reflections

Today has been a day of reflection. First looking at the magazine I recently delivered to see what improvements could be made to the process. Then looking at the conference I worked at to see what could be done better next year.

Sometimes it really does pay to look back at what worked, what didn’t and what could be even better.

I’ve done that a lot in my life, my career and definitely with horses. There’s always room for improvement.
