Pub pup

Bert went to the pub for lunch today. Yes, I know he’s underage at a mere 12 weeks. So we kept him away from the hard stuff. He was rather well behaved for his first outing. He didn’t start any fights – even with a rather large pointer shouting at him. He didn’t pee or throw up. Better than some I’ve seen in the pub. He also got lots of fuss and attention.

We had a lovely relaxed lunch. After a lovely long ride out. Then back to the yard for my friends to pop some jumps. While Bert slept off his pub lunch…

Bladder control

OK, I’m going to say it. It’s too early for Christmas! Thought I’d treat myself to a mocha on my way back from my Dad’s. I regretted it when I was stuck in traffic and needed to pee. Luckily, I’ve done a lot of riding and Pilates, so have a strong pelvic floor.

By the time I neared Stanstead, the full bladder has shifted from ‘mild discomfort’ to ‘OMG I’m going to wet myself’. While queuing for the services exit, I had to laugh as a lorry pulled alongside with two portaloos on the back. Someone up there has a sense of humour. Made me think of my Mum. As a child, she’d rarely let me pass a toilet. Just in case…

By now I was up to ‘it really hurts! So drove into the services with the speed of a Formula 1 driver heading to the pits!! Lewis Hamilton would have been proud! And trotted to the loo.

Talk about relief. But then I did relieve myself. Made me wonder why we say that. And it’s still too early for a Christmas cup…

Coffee in a can

I headed over to Blackwater tody to cheer on a few friends who were evening today. Lovely to catch up and watch the action. I really do miss eventing. So glad I can be a tiny part of it again.

On the way back, I stopped for petrol and spotted this. Who knew iced coffee in a can was so delicious?! My Mum used to like them, but I never actually tried one. It was most refreshing.

Wish I’d bought a few more…

Effectiveness

I found this travel mug in my cupboard. It was a free one I got from Nespresso. I say free, it was one of those spend a fortune and get a gift ones.

I’d totally forgot it. But needed one today as I was working all day at my Chiropractor’s. I’ve used many a travel mug, but my goodness, this is one of the most effective I’ve had.

I burnt my tongue so many times today as it kept my drinks at Vesuvius levels. Is it possible for something to be too effectiveness?!

It looks so pretty though…
