Common sense

I have suspected for a while now that common sense is a rarity in this wonderful world we live in. But this made me laugh. Also make you wonder how many people ignored the cooking instructions on the back. The first one is remove lid.

I’m very partial to a Fray Bentos pie. Might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but it’s one of my guilty pleasures. There’s something about a pie in a tin that does it for me. Make of that what you will.

For me, it’s proper comfort food. And on a rather wet day, it was much needed. I also needed something to warm me up after getting a tad soggy.

Thankfully it stayed dry for our pony play date this morning. Bert gained more gold stars for his ‘Lorry Dog in training’ chart. I’d parked the Buddymobile facing the arena. Bert was like a little meerkat popping his head up when I rode past. So cute!

In fact, he was so happy in the lorry that when we got back, he didn’t want to leave. Or it might have been he didn’t want to get wet in the rain…

Cuddles

When you’ve been out for the second evening running and you’ve been terribly missed. Hugo is currently trying to get in my gillet with me. He’s so cute.

Not quite so cute when he woke me up at 4am trying to sleep on me. Then Dodo woke me up at 7am dry heaving. That’s a sound that means I’d give Usain Bolt a run for his money.

I am very tired today. So early night for me. Well once I extract myself from Hugo. If his purrs could heal, he’d be a master. They’ve both been very attentive since my Mum died. They know, they really do.

Poles & puppies

Today has been about poles and puppies. Started the day taking Buddy to a pole clinic. He was exceptional. Well for Buddy and Poles! Think we were both a bit excited at being back out doing stuff.

And I suspect he was waiting for the poles to turn into jumps. Sadly he was out of luck there. Still lots of positives to take away.

This afternoon I headed down to Simon & Harry’s for a long overdue catch up. It’s been far too long since I visited them. Definitely got a very warm welcome.

I got to have cuddles with their puppies too. Oh my day, talk about scrumminess!! I’ve known almost all their dogs since they were puppies. So fitting that I got to meet these squigglings. They all have lovely homes lined up. Some people are going to be very lucky indeed.

Bear hug

Hugo has decided that my legs are the best place to sleep. He’s perfectly balanced on them. And is embracing them in a lovely bear hug.

My feet are lovely and warm. Which makes a change as I’ve had very cold feet all day.

Trouble is that my right foot has now gone to sleep too. I’m slightly scared to move right now. He’s too cute!

Snoring symphony

This is one of my doggie charges, Flip. She’s snoring in my arms. The other doggie charge, Bailey, is snoring in the corner. I’m being treated to quite the snoring symphony! It always amazes me how much dogs actually sleep.

I’d say they’ve been supportive team mates as I worked this afternoon, but they’ve been sleeping on the job. It’s just like being at home. Except louder.

Funny how an animal snoring is cute whereas a person snoring is murder inducing. Though I have been told I have a cute snore, so make of that what you will.

Ruby Two Shoes

I got to meet my friend’s foal today – Ruby. She is absolutely gorgeous. And almost as tall as me! Her legs are as long as mine so I think she’s going to be a big girl. I love foals. She was so curious about me. I got a lot of licks and nuzzles. She wasn’t very good at selfies, yet.
