Zipped up

A few weeks ago, the zip in my ‘every day’ riding boots went. Bit of a panicky moment when I realised I was stuck in it. Managed to squeeze my foot out thankfully.

So off it went to the cobblers. I picked it up today. Many reasons why I’d choose to have the zip replaced. They’re such comfortable boots. Definitely well worn in. They’ve got many, many years left in them. I’m loathed to bin stuff when it can be repaired.

The other boot was repaired a few years back, so now I have a matching pair. Again.

Threadbare

Think it might be time to replace my gloves. They’re a tad threadbare now. The trouble is that they are so comfortable. Even with the extra air conditioning.

I knew they were getting bad. But today, I really noticed it. Made me laugh as I got my thumb caught.

And yet I still couldn’t bring myself to throw them away…

More miles

The Comedy Car has done me proud over the past few weeks. We’ve clocked up a lot of miles. Last week, we drove to Wales and back. This week, we’ve driven to Birmingham and back.

Driving back today was a tad hairy in the rain. The Comedy Car isn’t built for speed. But it makes me smile as I’m driving along. For a small car, it’s really comfortable.

Yesterday it got through another MOT. Always a good thing!

I found this photo on my phone from when I parked it in a little gap (technically not a space) in the car park at Celtic Manor. Sometimes there are advantages to a small car.
