Blathering

Fab day at Barefoot Retreats Burnham Market International Horse Trials. Bumped into so many people, it was lovely catching up with everyone.

Made some new friends too. One of those random moments where you get chatting to someone at a fence. Next thing you know you’ve spent several hours chatting. Then they pop home and bring a bottle of wine to share with everyone.

The eventing at inspiring too. So many top riders to geek over. And top horses to dribble over. I came away rather rosey cheeked (sunburn not the wine), very inspired and with a new show jacket. We will definitely look the part if nothing else.

Today has been a very good day.

Extras

This evening I did something a bit different. I was an extra in a real-life crime recreation programme. It was set in the early 90s and all I had to do was stand around chatting. As you can imagine, that was quite a stretch!!

In typical Pip-fashion, I ended up chatting with the leading lady and coached her as she was little nervous.

So who knows, I might be on TV.

Peopled

Today I got to be utterly peopled. Headed over to the Asparagus Festival (nope, I didn’t know there was one of them either) to help man my friend’s stall.

You have no idea how good it felt to talk to real people all day. My legs ache, my back aches and my face aches. Totally worth it. And wonderful to see so many people appreciating the yummy treats that were on offer.

If you want gluten-free / dairy-free treats, check out Weddell and Turner.
