Welcome to blog! I started it in 2020 to chart my recovery from breaking my ankle (hence the name). I guess no-one saw a global pandemic coming. It's turned into a place where I can talk about the things happening in my life, my horse and my cats. Enjoy!
The kittens have the right idea. It’s definitely been an indoor day today. Well I say that I was woken up by a rather soggy Dodo this morning.
Hugo got caught out in the thunder and came in demanding to be towelled off.
Dodo wasn’t too impressed with having to share. They’re so cute the way they cuddle up together. I wasn’t too impressed with getting wet at the yard. Again.
Honestly, I think Mother Nature has missed the memo. April showers were so last month…
After a bit of a slow start (I woke up feeling rather crumpled), I’ve had a very productive day. I mowed and scarified both lawns, weeded the borders and attacked a few bushes for good measure.
Also got 3 loads of washing on the line. Hurrah!
The kittens came to help me with the weeding. I say helping. Hugo wanted to lie on the bit I was weeding and Dodo ran off with one of my gloves. They do make me laugh sometimes.
I couldn’t find Hugo earlier so assumed he’d gone wandering. Until I heard lots of rustling. He’s made a little nest in the bookcase.
Now Nero has taken it over.
Cats are weird.
Awwww look who came upon my FB memories today. A teeny tiny Hugo Boss. This was the photo that made me adopt him after losing Tom.
He and Dodo have grown into handsome little boys. I can’t imagine life without them.
I gave the conservatory a deep clean over the weekend. The steam cleaner made short work of it. The kittens are very appreciative as you can see.
They spent most of the day snuggled up on their tower. They’re just so cute.
Look who are 1 today! 😻😻
I’m definitely coming back as a cat in my next life… 😹
