Oh my goodness, it’s all going on on ‘Birdwatch Brundall’. Just rescued a dove from a magpie’s clutches. Then had to shoo off said magpie as it turned on me – good job I don’t have an issue with feathered flappy things?! Can’t say I’ve ever seen Chris Packham running round the garden like that!!?! Maybe I should strike career as wildlife presenter off the list….

Two wood pigeons are having a scrap over the smallest bird feeder known to man. And Tom has lost the plot and decided to hide from it all in the washing line cover. Do you think he realises that he is not on lockdown?!

I’ve not been sleeping very well recently. My mind is whirling and my tinnitus is on overdrive at the moment. It happens when I’m tired, emotional or stressed. But at the moment, I’ve got a different noise to usual. Sounds like a scratching noise. Last night I wasn’t sure if there was actually a small creature in the wall. You can understand why people are driven mad by it.

As a result, I woke up with a snotty nose. No it’s not Covid before anyone panics. I’ve also burst a blood vessel in my eye so it’s probably a good job I can’t really go out – I look like a right catch! 😂

My boys have loved the afternoon on the sofa with me. They know I’m not OK so have been following me round the house. Either that or they’re hoping for more chicken. The jury is out on that one…. Writing today off as a bad lot and will come out fighting tomorrow. Hopefully after a better nights sleep.

Inspired by The Delicate Diner I thought I’d do a roast chicken. Those of you who know me will know that my culinary range is limited to say the least. So I bought one instead. Even I can’t balls this up?! Thought I could have it hot for dinner, cold for salads and sandwiches and even attempt a savoury rice…. Sure the cats will appreciate some scraps too. Winner, winner, chicken dinner!!

I miss this little boy so much. Very grateful to get a photo of him today. Spent most of the day on the phone catching up with people. Trying to make the best of this lockdown. It’s bloody hard though. I have a much better appreciation of those who live like this all the time.

Before and after the Monday Morning HIIT session with Michelle at Adrenalize. Definitely got my heart rate up. I managed to do most of the higher intensity ones and my ankle is good. I love skater and punching. I hate burpees, they hurt my ankle so did a bit one sided. Managed to punt Tom across the floor in the kicking section. Memo to me: lock cats out as doing sit ups with a cat on your stomach is hard!!

This makes me very happy. 7:10pm and it’s still light. Summer is on the way. Makes me think of evening hacking and cider in the garden. Just need this virus to sod off now.

It’s been a bit of a random day to various reasons. Not least the weather which has decided to do four seasons in one day! Haven’t been out for my walk as fear I will be blown away, get hyperthermia in the snow or injured by giant hailstones. This did make me happy though. My first seedlings. I shall at least have lettuces to eat.

When I was on my walk today it reminded me of when I used to hack Murphy around the area. Before I moved to my little house, I’d look over used at these houses as we crossed this railway bridge and think how wonderful it would be to live there. Little did I know that I would end up buying a house there…..

Today’s walk. It was a tad blustery. Went on a new route out of the end of the close. Found a beautiful church and cows! I can hear them from my garden if the wind is in the right direction. It’s a lovely reassuring sound.
