Cinderella

There are some advantages to having the same shoe size as your Mother. I forgot my slippers but found an old pair in the shoe cupboard. Not my style. Rather comfy though.

Was allowed to see Dad today. He looked rather poorly still. Looks like he’s staying in hospital till Monday. So booked in to go and see him again tomorrow.

Thank you for all of the messages and well wishes. It really means so much.

Dippy

Finally got to see Dippy today. Love the juxtaposition of him being in Norwich Cathedral. Very cool. A great exhibition too. It was my first time inside the cathedral too. Wow! I had no idea it was stunning.

It seems like a long time ago though as I got back to find that my Dad has been rushed into hospital. Again. So I packed a bag and drove down to look after my Mum. Again.

All prayers and healing vibes gratefully received. Again.

Bruises

I’m currently sporting another corker of a bruise thanks to horses. And this one was so innocuous too. Buddy nudged me on Sunday as we were waiting between classes. He sent me flying, right into a wooden fence post. I banged my elbow but thought nothing of it.

Unfortunately my arm has other ideas and is rather black and blue. Good job I’ve got lots of arnica!

Night at the museum

When you’re walking to the tube and you walk past the Natural History Museum. How stunning does it look?!

Brilliant day in London. Got to flex my creative comms muscles and add value to a new project. Can’t give anything away yet. But exciting times ahead! 👏🏻

Pretty in pink

Today we headed to Easton College for Carlton Riding Club’s Pink Show for Big C. For lots of reasons, we haven’t been out competing recently and it showed. We were a bit rusty.

Still we successfully competed in 70cm (with 12 faults) and 80cm (with 8 faults). No placings today but lots to be pleased with.

I know the faults came from poor lines on my part. Definitely something to work on. Guess we’ll just have to get out more over the winter.

Stealth mode

It’s that time of the year when the pheasant and partridges enter stealth mode!!

Today’s hack resulted in a few interesting moves as Buddy was taken by surprised by their ninja moves from the long grass and undergrowth.

I can’t help laughing at his slight over-reaction to their flapping and squarking.

Serendipity

I love it when someone comes into my life in a wonderfully unusual way. I met Catie today for a coffee.

We ‘met’ last year when she bought some poppy seeds from me. We’ve been talking ever since. We’ve a lot in common and not just plants.

She now lives in Scotland but was back to see her Mum. We talked for over 3 hours and could have kept talking all day. Till next time…

Fluid

My day has been rather fluid today. Think that the best word for it. Plans changed, stuff changed and got stuff done.

Spotted Dodo on the garage roof as I was filling the log basket. I’m rather impressed with my photo. But then I do have a good subject.
